SEBI to empanel Security Market Trainers for the enhancement of investor education activities

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on September 18, 2020 has issued a press release for the empanelment of the Security Market Trainers (SMART’s) for the enhancement of the investor education activities.

 

Recently, the board has witnessed an increase in the interest of invertors in the securities markets and there is a need for an educated person to guide the people on the investment frontier. All the SMART’s shall be considered for conducting awareness programmes in regards with the securities markets and these programmes shall be conducted in various regional languages.

 

Applications for the same shall be submitted to the board either by an organization/firm or by an individual having education in the field of law, management, commerce, economics, or financial markets. The individual shall have a graduate degree with aggregate of 50% passing an at least 5 years of experience in either fields.

 

In case the application is being submitted by an organization, one individual from the governing body shall have a degree in the above-mentioned streams with 50% aggregate passing and at least 5 years of experience. All the expenses shall be covered by the Board.
