The Ministry of commerce and industry on February 22, 2021 has issued a draft order for egg and egg products to be subjected to quality control or inspection or both prior to export.
• The order recognizes the specifications:
• National Standard of the importing countries in absence of which codex standards of Codex Alimentarius Commission;
• In case of any egg and egg products for which no standard is available, the standard formulated for these products by the standing Committee shall be made applicable;
• Any person desiring to make any objection or suggestion with respect to the said proposals may forward the same by March 23, 2021 to the Export Inspection Council, 2nd Floor, B-Plate, Block-I Commercial Complex, East Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi – 110023 or send it by e-mail of the Export Inspection Council at [email protected]
